£2m contact centre creates jobs for Sheffield
Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg has opened a £2m contact centre in Sheffield, which is set to create jobs over the next year.
It is Ant’s fourth contact centre, and will create 200 new jobs over the next 12 months, making the company one of the region’s largest employer.
Acquisition and refurbishment of the facility was backed by Santander Corporate Banking.
The new premises will deliver outbound sales and customer service for some of today’s household names including British Gas.
Mr Clegg commented: “Ant is going from strength to strength and these 200 jobs are a big boost for Sheffield.
“I am always glad to see Sheffield companies grow and everyone at Ant should be very proud of their success.”
Anthony Hinchliffe, Chief Executive and founder of Ant, added: “We are seeing an increase in the number of companies outsourcing and in particular a growing demand for outbound services.
“Any is well known for its ability in this area and for delivering great results.As a customer focused business, the people we employ are the key to our success.
“It is a resounding endorsement of the quality of our local skills base and our business environment that we are able to undertake this expansion.”
Mr Hinchcliffe also paid tribute to Santander Corporate Banking for their support in the acquisition and refurbishment of the new facility.
