Partnership announced to widen tech talent pool
Art of Cloud has partnered with Leeds Trinity University Business School in a joint venture to ‘forge closer relationships between business and academia’ and ‘widen the tech talent pool’ by developing students’ digital skills.
The Leeds-based consultancy will provide insights, advice and ongoing course input to keep students updated on tech sector employment opportunities. The partnership aims to support students from diverse backgrounds in accessing roles in the region’s growing digital economy.
Charlotte Rainey, employer partnerships manager at Leeds Trinity University said: “This exciting collaboration will provide our students with invaluable, hands-on industry experience, reinforcing our commitment to delivering career-focused, relevant education.
“By working with dynamic SMEs like Art of Cloud, we are equipping our students with a deeper understanding of the diverse career opportunities available, setting them up for future success.”
Art of Cloud CEO Liz Rhodes marked the collaboration by signing a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’, formalising their commitment to the initiative.
She added: “We’re absolutely honoured to formalise our partnership with the brilliant team and students at Leeds Trinity University School of Computer Science.
“We’ve always been passionate and vocal about the need to widen the tech talent pool - especially in our own region - and to fly the flag for the many and varied careers options offered by digital.
"Forging closer relationships between business and academia is just one of the ways we can carry on promoting growth and opportunity for everyone.”
