Vipers come to life
Ice hockey fans and those who want to find out more about this fast-paced sport can hear from players in Newcastle’s top flight team when they pay a visit to the open air rink at Newcastle’s Centre for Life this week. From 6.00pm – 7.30pm on Thursday 19 January, visitors to the rink can meet the stars of the Mobilx Newcastle Vipers and watch them demonstrate their professional skating skills.
Liz Dean, deputy director at the Centre for Life said: “This event is a must for all Mobilx Vipers fans and it also offers a great introduction to the game on a smaller outdoor rink.ˆ People are welcome to come along to find out more about the Vipers. Players will be on hand to meet the public, answer questions about the game and hopefully get some new faces interested in the exciting sport.”
The Mobilx Newcastle Vipers will be signing autographs and demonstrating the finer parts of ice hockey during the evening, plus there’ll be lots of prizes to win including free trips to Skating@Life, a signed shirt and tickets for the Vipers games.
